I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
